Tuesdays & Thursdays 2/13 – 3/8/2024
11:00 – 2:00
with open studio on Wednesdays & Fridays
If you’ve taken our Ceramics Wheel & Glazing course and are ready to dive into more advanced techniques and topics, this is the class for you! We’ll cover more complicated techniques based on the feedback and skill level of the students. This could include centering and throwing larger amounts of clay, lidded forms, closed forms, and throwing off the hump.
Instructor-led classes are held from 11AM-2PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with optional, uninstructed open studio time in the ceramics studio on Wednesdays and Fridays, also from 11AM-2PM.
* All students must have previous experience with wheel throwing and be able to center and comfortable throw 3lbs of clay in order to participate in this class.
Please note: All ceramics projects need to be fired in a pottery kiln and take approximately 2-4 weeks before they are ready to be taken home. You will receive an email once pieces are ready for pickup. If you will no longer be in Telluride, domestic shipping options are available via a third party, Ship It, Copy It. If you have not made arrangements with our Ceramics Director, Ah Haa will discard ceramics projects 30 days after the end of a class. For those who need to have their pieces shipped domestically, please be sure to select this option during the registration process. The total cost for safely packaging and shipping your ceramics projects will be listed on the online registration page for each class. Take note that Ah Haa does not offer international shipping as a standard option.
