Curiosity Shop

Delve into the innovative world of breakdown screenprinting in this hands-on workshop, where students are also introduced to stencil and open screen printing techniques. Breakdown screens, created using thickened dyes, offer a dynamic printing experience; each pull of the ink alters the image, allowing for playful and spontaneous creation. This versatile method supports vibrant multicolored or sleek monochromatic designs, offering unlimited possibilities for creating stunning screens.

Students will have the opportunity to explore and experiment on various materials, as the dyes are compatible with plant-based fabrics like cotton and protein-based ones like silk. Whether you choose to work on fabric or other available items, the creative possibilities are endless.

This workshop is suitable for anyone eager to explore the transformative and exciting possibilities of screen printing, providing a diverse and enriching experience in a supportive and inspiring environment.
