Family Gnomes
Ages 9+ with Adults

Ah Haa’s Just Say Gnome clay class for youth has been revamped for the whole family! Local ceramicist Jacey DePriest will guide students through the step-by-step process of sculpting a gnome out of clay. Family duos or groups will collaborate to create a gnome for their home and even some magical accessories such as a mushroom stool or a pet caterpillar, time permitting. From chubby cheeks and pointy hats to round shoes, or whatever your chosen style, all gnomes will be painted with underglaze and double fired for extra durability. Finished gnomes make perfect yard ornaments, porch dwellers or indoor sculptures. No previous clay experience is necessary.

This class is for kids aged 9+ and adults. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All youth and adult participants must register separately using the appropriate link.

Please note: All ceramics projects need to be fired in a pottery kiln and take approximately 1-2 weeks before they are ready to be taken home. You will receive an email once pieces are ready for pickup. If you will no longer be in Telluride, domestic shipping options are available via a third party, Ship It, Copy It. If you have not made arrangements with our Ceramics Director, Ah Haa will discard ceramics projects 30 days after the end of a class. For those who need to have their pieces shipped domestically, please be sure to select this option during the registration process. The total cost for safely packaging and shipping your ceramics projects will be listed on the online registration page for each class. Take note that Ah Haa does not offer international shipping as a standard option.
