Wednesday, 5/10/2023
3:00 – 5:00 PM *Part 1 Ceramics
6:00 – 8:00 PM *Part 2 Culinary

Sign up for Part 1 Seperatly:Carve a slab of clay to create the perfect surface for rolling and texturing handmade pasta. Also known as a pasta board, Jacey DePriest will guide students through the process of creating a piece of functional art for your kitchen. This class is great for beginners and those with experience working with clay.

In this course, students are invited back to learn how to create handmade pasta dough from instructor, Trang Pham. In this class, we will learn how to use a pasta board to make two types of fresh pastas: potato gnocchi and orechiette. You will also learn to make two Asian inspired pasta dishes: Japanese Gnocchi with Miso Tomato Butter and Nori Spice, and Orecchiette with Asian Pesto, culminating in a group meal.

Please note: students may take either the ceramics or culinary class and are encouraged to join us for both! You must register for both classes if you’d like to attend the ceramics and culinary portions.

All ceramics projects need to be fired in a pottery kiln and take approximately 1-2 weeks before they are ready to be taken home. You will receive an email once pieces are ready for pickup. If you will no longer be in Telluride, domestic shipping options are available via a third party, Ship It, Copy It. If you have not made arrangements with our Ceramics Director, Ah Haa will discard ceramics projects 30 days after the end of a class.

For those who need to have their pieces shipped domestically, please be sure to select this option during the registration process. The total cost for safely packaging and shipping your ceramics projects will be listed on the online registration page for each class. Take note that Ah Haa does not offer international shipping as a standard option.

This is a Discovery Level class that is intended to introduce and excite those to a new art form.
