Legend has it, gnomes are stout little people with pointed hats who live outside, often in gardens and usually underground. Some believe they have magical powers, others believe they simply bring good luck. We’ll have fun dreaming up and sculpting our very own foot-tall garden gnomes while mastering the process of building and forming with clay. All gnomes will be fired twice for extra durability.
Gnomes created during camp will be on display at Ah Haa School for the Arts as part of the HAHA during Art and Architecture weekend. Students are encouraged to attend the HAHA with their families to see their artwork in this special exhibition!
This project requires a double kiln firing, which means a slightly longer turn around time. Also, additional shipping costs apply due to the large size of each gnome. Students are encouraged to pick up their gnomes in person, if possible.
