Learn the art of Plein Air Painting with acclaimed artist Suzie Baker!
This three-day workshop, in collaboration with the Telluride Plein Air Festival, is a hands-on learning experience designed for aspiring painters of all skill levels. Students will receive instruction on a wide range of painting principles, including drawing, color, value, composition, and color theory. The workshop will be held in the beautiful outdoors of Telluride, where students will get the chance to apply what they’ve learned by painting in the field. Throughout the workshop, participants will also be able to see field demonstrations and receive one-on-one instruction from Suzie Baker at their easels. This is a fun-filled and educational opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the art of painting. Tuition Assistance is not available for this workshop.

Suzie Baker is an award-winning artist whose paintings are regularly on display in magazines, prestigious national shows and plein air events. She has served on the board of Oil Painters of America since 2014, including presiding as president from 2020-22. Suzie holds signature status in that distinguished organization as well as the American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists, and others. In addition to being a still life and portrait artist, Suzie has been painting plein air since she was a teenager. A sought-after instructor, for her humorous and informative style, Suzie teaches through videos, virtual classes, and workshops around the United States, Europe and close to her home in the Houston, Texas area
