Learn from visiting culinary artists Alexi Mandolini & Taylor Herbert of Denver’s hugely popular restaurant popup, The Easy Vegan, and competitors in Food Network’s latest season of The Great Food Truck Race. Alexi and Taylor will teach innovative culinary techniques that focus on utilizing locally-sourced vegetables in both food and drink recipes. Highlighting three different vegetables from the local farm stand, the class will create one food and one cocktail recipe from each vegetable. Students will be encouraged to use every part of the vegetable to reduce waste by incorporating techniques such as preserving, dehydrating, and fermentation. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the principles of sustainable cooking and mixology while developing their creativity and innovation in the kitchen and behind the bar. This class is for seasoned cooks, bartenders, or anyone interested in exploring cooking and mixology.
