Descripción

Join us in this workshop to learn the basics of exposed bindings and make a leather journal in one evening. Students will learn to fold paper properly, punch leather and sew the pages directly to the leather with the famous longstitch. A variety of closures will be offered and materials will be discussed. The stitch will be practiced on a sewing card that can be saved for future reference to make more books at home. This class is the perfect combination for everyone who loves handmade items and enjoys journaling; the journal also makes a great gift! All the attendees will come away with one finished book.

All materials included, but students are encouraged to bring a notepad and pen for personal notes.
