Conceived and inaugurated by Visual Arts Manager, Lulu Priddy, the Ah Haa Teen Fellowship is an art intensive running from January-May each year, designed to provide high school students throughout the San Miguel Watershed with practical experience at an arts organization while pursuing their art endeavors through an Independent Project in their desired medium.
This program additionally guides students through portfolio development, professional growth, workshops, visiting artist lectures, college prep, and resume building mentorships which culminate in a group exhibition in the Daniel Tucker Gallery. Ah Haa offers financial support for each student’s projects through their proposed budgets and allotted stipends.
The Fellowship has been an incredible opportunity for the cohort by offering freedom and guidance to explore their creativity while being a part of a dynamic, supportive group. The Fellowship truly embodies Ah Haa’s mission to provide opportunities for hands-on learning, self-expression, and collaboration.
“The Ah Haa Teen Fellowship allowed me to pursue a medium I had never explored before and inspired my creativity through collaboration with fellow artists and the amazing staff at Ah Haa.” – Wilder Grundy, 2025 Fellow
