Painting Workshop Narrative Storytelling
with Daniel Kanow

This two-day workshop will look at personal stories and imagery to create artwork that is reflective of one’s unique journey in life. Students will examine narrative works by the masters of painting to gain inspiration for their own stories. Personal photographs, mirrors, the figure in the landscape, and individualized storytelling are integral to allowing students to visualize personal challenges and triumphs within their superhero and supervillain selves. Acrylic on paper. Intermediate skill level required.

All materials are provided. Please bring a photo or image for inspiration as well as a journal or sketchbook.
