Choose from These Artventures!

Dinosaur Detectives

Journey into prehistoric times to follow footprints and discover new species! In this mixed media art class, students will draw treasure maps to hunt down dinosaur eggs and use collage to build their own dino puppet.

Gnome and Fairy Houses

Students will venture outside to scavenge for their own natural and found materials. They will collect leaves and twigs along the River Trail, then look for special objects in the Free Box. Back in the classroom, students will use cardboard, paint, and their found objects to build and decorate a home fit for a magical fairy or friendly gnome.

Underwater Explorers

Dive into the ocean to explore colorful sea creatures and deep sea dwellers. Students will use mixed media collage and recycled 3D objects to craft a vibrant coral reef sculpture. They’ll make their favorite underwater critters into paper puppets to complete the scene!

Comic Book Heroes (Ages 8+)

This illustration class goes beyond the page– students will storyboard, draw, colorize, and bind their own unique comic, filled with the heroes and villains from their own imagination.

Painting Pottery

Using vibrant, food-safe glazes, young artists will learn how to paint and decorate pre-fired bisqueware, turning plain pottery into colorful, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. They’ll discover different glazing techniques, experiment with color layering, and express their creativity on pottery pieces they can keep and use.
